Dear Jenny,

I have been battling weight for six years I want to go organic, but I want to save money too. I live with mom I want to teach us both how to eat healthier and I strive to live long. We have weight issues and we cant seem to get the belly down I dont do soda any more when I go out to eat. I do tea or water with lemon mom does the same sometimes she pigs out and overeats where I look at her and say slow down dont regret it. I am over weight then she is I am 227 I dont eat too much if I do its when I have my moods but over all I am a good eater I limit myself. I am 23 going on 24 and I want to learn how to do things right for myself I want to learn how to cut down carbs and such I have such a bad habit for carbs like potatoes but I want to have veggies in my diet I thought about juicing too.

Is that a good way to get your vitamins. Mom was a size 7 before she met her bf now she is a 12 and I was a 8 growing up as a teen and now I am a 18 yea big jump. I was on pills medications for depression and I gained 94 pounds in a year then another 30 from other depressants taking me on and off now I have this big muffin top belly that I cant stand. Do to that I have diabetes type 2 from that problem' I am so lost I go to mom I got diabetes from my pills the depressants she goes your not going off them. I cried I held my pillow and cried all night.


It is hard I hate being heavy I feel guys dont look at me in an attractive manner so I feel they pick the skinny girl next to me and I go off crying in the bathroom on the floor blaming my weight and say I am a ugly fat girl who wants to date me I been told I look like Chloe and a mix of Kim Kardashian I have Chloe's body type and face shape but I am tan olive toned I only am bigger then her. I dont know what I am still doing wrong? I need help? Mom is 50.... we need help.

Hello Jackie-
Well it sounds like you are in the right place, ready to make some changes. This won't happen overnight and it's a journey that involves all the emotional stuff too. Food is attached to every human emotion we have!!! I have been through experiences with depression myself and the great news is that when you change your diet that will change too. I can offer some assistance with suggesting a meal program for you and your mother. The important thing right now is to focus on yourself, loving yourself (I know it sounds corny) but that is what is needed to make the steps that will make a difference. It is important to begin by adding, I usually recommend people begin by adding a superfood smoothie daily and also some more fruits and vegetables. To best help you I need your help- Do you thing you could keep a food log of everything you eat for 3 days, this will help me know where to start. In the meantime make it a goal to eat more raw fruits and vegetables- you'll have less room for the other stuff...
