QuestionHi Lea!! i know you must get these crazy questions all the time . i am hoping to get a different answer from what i have seen around though. i understand what is opinion and what is science . here is my question. i am taking 3 drugs at the moment , they are Thermobol (2 per day) Hoodia Gordonii Plus (6 per day) and Centrum (1 per day) . i am 25, and weigh 100kg. i work out twice a day, this inc burning 500 kcal on tredmill, 500 kcal on the crosstrainer, 250 kcal on the row machine. i also do 10 reps of 8kg weights for each arm and 25 min of swimming . i am doing one meal a day, this can be in and around 350 to 550kcal meals. i have only started this today . i would love if you could give me the science answer to what will i lose in 20 days and how i will feel maybe? and also what your expert opinion is? because i am guessing the two will conflict. thank you so much for your time. adam
AnswerAdam,
I wouldn't be surprised if you pass out from exhaustion or end up in the hospital on this type of plan! You need to be eating atleast 1700-2000 calories a day with this amount of weight loss. Only eating one meal a day will slow down your metabolism, so even if you do lose weight it will be the wrong kind of weight (ie you will be losing muscle) and once you get to a lower weight it will come back on very quickly when you get back to a regular routine. There are other adverse effects to only eating one small meal a day like low energy, constipation, hair loss, dry or itchy skin, internal organs having to work much harder and irritability. I hope you reconsider and switch to three meals a day and 2-3 snacks.
