QuestionHi
I'm about to start a fast again on water, teas and occasional black coffee since I want to keep up my training schedule at the same time.
Last time I fasted for 10 days but I was taking honey and coffee daily. I felt good, but I easily gained weight after the fast...too easily.
Please give me tips on how to maintain weight loss and body tone after the fast.
Also what do you think about 1-2 cups of coffee a day before exercise?
I want to cut out milk and white carbs completely after the fast is over and also as much sugar as possible...I realize sugar is a big problem for me and an addiction.
Please could you give me a 7-14 day example of what to do after the fast, breaking it and re feeding my body so as to not gain back weight like last time.
Thankyou
Kayte
AnswerDear Kayte,
Dieting up to 72 hours is pretty safe since it doesn't radically change metabolism. After 72 hours, one has to be very careful about what to eat and what to drink. For medical purpose, the longer periods of fasting (up to 1 year on water and vitamins in cases of morbid obesity) it must be professionally supervised. In any case, I would recommend that you consider several different ways of dieting to choose the one that is for you.
