Questioni'm trying to eat raw paleo. i just bought some
grass-fed suet, trying to increase my fat intake,
even though i buy the fattest cuts of grass-fed
beef i can ( mostly rump roast ). i cut the suet
up into little pieces, then one at a time, chew them,
but it's not happenning. in my mouth, it turns into
this blob of creamy bubble gum. it cakes my teeth
and the roof of my mouth. any advice on how to
eat raw suet, and should i be needing it anyway,
when the roasts i get have a nice layer of fat on
the one side ? one other question, what else can
i eat that is mostly fat ? thanks rpg

AnswerWell, personally I don't like the taste of raw suet, and I'm one of the few who can't digest it properly(that is, I always get yellow stools from eating suet). I have always preferred to eat raw white fat from muscle-meat(mainly from fatty grassfed leg of lamb, not from other sources so much) or use raw marrow or raw tongue as my staples. If you can get hold of raw brain from grassfed or wild animals, that would be great. When ordering raw marrow, make sure that they understand that you want marrow-rich bones, as, otherwise, they often sell you thin bones with hardly any marrow in them on the assumption that it's just for your dogs who won't care re the fat-content or at least can't complain about it.
