QuestionHI!
Just a quick question. I am interested in changing careers匢 have worked in the entertainment industry in television production for 10 years and am not passionate about it. What I am passionate about his fitness and nutrition. I am a group fitness instructor at night and love it. But I would like to change my "day" job into something that has to do with nutrition. I LOVE learning about it and would be happy helping others with what I learn.
I have a B.A. in Communications and I know that won't get me anywhere in the nutrition world :) I know I eventually need to go back to college and get a degree in that area. But right now it's not feasible. I don't have the money, or a job where I could have the flexibility of taking time off every week to attend classes.
My question to you is卛s there anything I can do in the nutrition world right now that doesn't require me having to go back to school for 5 years? I am eager to get involved somehow卋ut I don't know how to do it without having to go back to school, and like I said, right now that's not possible.
Thanks for all your help!
Erin :)
AnswerFirst you can take a look at the American Dietetics Assoc. web site to find out about becoming a dietitian or diet tech. (www.eatright.org)
You can also take a look at: http://www.cert-nutrition.org/ for other possibilities. Being a dietitian is the ultimate professional in the area but you do need a bachelor degree!
Good luck!
