QuestionHello George, and first let me thank you for providing your knowledge for this great website. I am 37 years old and recently had a weight loss procedure called a duodenal switch. Basically, food enters my reduced stomach and exits though the pyloric valve (just like yours). Then the doctor rearranged my intestines so I do not absorb all that I eat. Well, it has worked wonderfully and in 10 months I have lost 165 pounds. Ok, you are probably saying to yourself what is the question. Well, I have to take vitamins a supplements for the rest of my life since I do not absorb what I eat. I also do not absorb fat and have to take special ADEK vitamins that are water soluble. Well, I also have to take Zinc, Calcium, and Iron. I know not to take the Calcium with the iron, however, someone told me that I needed copper when I take zinc for over a month. Can you tell me if I need to add copper to my diet. Also, do I need to worry about the calcium and zine/copper interacting? Any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
Lorrie
AnswerHello Lorrie!
Thank you for your nutrition question. I am so glad that you asked me this question. Since you had a duodenal switch you are a perfect candidate for an excellent supplement called Juice Plus. It contains 17 fresh fruits and vegetables and is far superior to any vitamin or mineral supplement. You dont have to worry about calcium and zinc/copper interacting because Juice Plus contains all of these nutrients naturally. Individual minerals or vitamins are just not as effective as Juice Plus. I am positive that you can benefit from taking this product. You can purchase and learn more about it from the website I have set up at: http://www.juiceblend.com
Please let me know if you need further information.
Hope this helps.
