I am trying to find out which oil is best to cook with. It my understading that oils have different flash points and that certan oils , when burned , are unhealthy.
Of the oils which would be the best to cook with?
Grapseed
extra virgin olive oil
olive oil
vegetable oil

Thanks for your nutrition question. Grapseed oil has the highest flashpoint. It also has less smoke and less danger of burning. Hope this helps

Thanks for the follow up. You are correct in that since grapseed oil has a higher flashpoint it may release less cancer causing substances. Scientists believe a link may exist between cancer and foods cooked at particularly high temperatures so an oil such grapseed has the ability to reverse this process. Hope this helps.
