Hi, I am 16 years old. I am 5'10 and 196 pounds, I dont know if thats overweight or not, probably is. What diet do you recommend to lose weight? I would like to get to 175 pounds if thats possible..

I'm a firm believer in calorie counting, moderation in portion size, and regular exercise.  Best to simply cut out junk food and sweets, and increase your activity.  It may be simple, but it's effective.

All the low carb diets do the same thing: cut out the junk food and sweets.

Given your age, I wouldn't restrict your calorie intake too much, since I imagine you still have some growth and development.  You can download a calorie counter from my website for free (http://www.smartcalorie.com/) or there are many options on the internet, or on the USDA.gov site.
