QuestionHi there.
I've recently started a healthy eating plan of 5 to 6 small low fat high protien meals per day. I'm consuming 1,700 cals per day. I am 48 years old & need to lose 25 pounds at least. At the moment I weigh 164 pounds. I am 5ft 4inches tall.
I am in the middle of working out an exercise program using free weights.
My main problem is that I feel so tired most of the time. I get between 6 & 7 hours sleep per night. But I'm always so tired I could sleep on a clothes line. I keep reading that exercising will increase my energy & wondered how long after I start to exercise will I feel those benefits? I've recently got over torn ligaments in my right hip & my right leg/hip need to be built up in order to regain the strength I had before.I can balance on my left leg for 50 seconds or more but only manage about 5 seconds on my right leg. It seems that since I've been up & about again (this past 4 weeks) I just don't have enough energy to see me through the day.
Can you please advise me? I'd be grateful for any help. Thanking you in advance.
Lorraine
AnswerHi Lorraine,
Usually you should feel better after ~4 weeks after a change. Make sure you are getting enough calories and eating every 3-4 hours. Visit www.toolsforlife.cc to determine your requirements and subtract 500 calories per day from this number to lose fat. Let me know any other questions.
