When trying to lose weight, is it better to pick a whole wheat pasta or low carb pasta? Normally I would think whole wheat, but I noticed the low carb pasta has 12 grams of fiber and the whole wheat only has 6 grams of fiber. Which would be better for weight loss? They are the same calories. Thanks!

Great to hear from you. All experts must be sending me duplicate questions. I am glad that you are reading your food labels carefully. I am not a big fan of the low carb line of foods because sometimes they have deceptive food labeling. A food might say low carb but it may have more calories then the regular version. However, in this case since the low carb pasta contains the same amount of calories and more fiber it sounds like it would be the better choice. Here is a list of foods which also are good sources of fiber and would be great to incorporate in your diet. The recommended amount is 25g daily. Feel free to ask anymore questions. :)
