QuestionHello, I was reading up on your expertise and i figured that you would be the most helpful. I am currently on the road to weight loss and have devoted myself to going to the gym daily. Now i don't have any professional help along the way (personal trainers) so i'm at a loss when it comes to working out and eating right. I wanted to know if i soely did cardio workouts like tread mill walking and stair master, would i be able to loose weight? I was told that doing weights would increase my metabolism but i don't want all of my fat to turn to muscle so i'm a bit afraid to do weights. Also my eating has turned from over eating to i'm full eating but i seem to be skipping lunch cuz i work out in the after noon, is this bad? I would really like any advice you can pass along... thank you Yolanda
AnswerYolanda,
Healthy weight loss needs to be a combination of BOTH exercise (aerobic and wt. training) as well as healthy eating! You can workout all you want but if you don't eat right and eat the correct amount of calories chances are you won't lose a whole lot of weight!
Fat does NOT turn to muscle!!! You build muscle and lose fat. One does not turn into the other!
You should never skip meals! Actually eating 4-6 small meals per day is what seems to work best for most people. You definitely should not skip meals when working out. You need to have proper fuel for your body during your workouts.
I DO offer online weight loss services. If you are interested check out my web site at: www.Nutrifocus.net.
