QuestionDear Susan,
I eat a satisfying breakfast, and I don't usually get hungry until around 11 or 11:30. But then I eat lunch (Usually a whole sandwich, carrots, peapods,a fruit, and a small treat), but then around 3 or 4 I get hungry again. Can you suggest some solution for me?
Haley
AnswerYes, Haley, EAT ALREADY! Eat something like raw fruit, raw nuts, whole grain bread with unhydrogenated peanut butter on it. Hunger is not a "problem", arguing with your body can become one - you don't get the message, then when you do get around food (and what is the most prevelant is junk) you eat a lot. Your appetite is supposed to be your best bud, it can tell you what you need, when you need it, how much of it you need it and when to quit. When you treat it as an enemy weight problems set in.
Are you drinking 1 oz of plain water for every 2 pounds of you? If you are drinking sodas, tea, coffee - even pasteurized fruit juices, you are drinking diurtics that up your need for water. Sometimes when the I'm thirsty is met with other than water, the body tries I'm hungry just to try to get some food with water content.
