QuestionHi Mark,
I hope you can answer this question.
In England we eat mostly Chicken eggs, occasionaly Duck and Goose eggs but never Turkey eggs.Is this because they taste bad which my friend suggested or is there another reason.
We do eat a lot of Turkey breasts which are cheaper than chicken (excuse the pun} and a lot of Turkey at Christmas so their not rare.
Once again hope you can answer and thanks for your time.
Brendan.
AnswerHello Brendan,
As far as I know in the U.S they don't sell turkey eggs. Not quite sure why, or how they would taste.
My only guess is that it's not socially acceptable. Meaning, it's quite common for us to drink cow's milk, yet some people look at you funny if you drink goat's milk. What's wrong with monkey milk? Just an example, it's been socially acceptable to drink cow's milk but for other animals it's not. Maybe the same goes for eggs.
Hope that helps.
