I have chronic back problems and was put on a medication that, according to my doctors, decreased my dopamine level which dictate, I'm told, the satiety feeling.  The week I started this medication I gained 10 lbs. in one week!  I've tried personal trainer with low-carb and low-fat diet, and every other diet.  I just want to eat healthy without gaining weight once I've lost the extra weight which is about 50 lbs.  I have been on strong pain medication for over 5 yrs. that I was hoping once I lost weight I could start weining myself off of.  I've been to a medical nutritionist (what a waste of time and money) and I have a real hard time finding things I like to eat.  I have honestly tried to gag food down but I just can't continue.  I only had a little weight problem one other time in my life and I did Jenny Craig and only lost 15 lbs. and then platued.  Then a friend introduced me to a doctor who prescribed Fasten which worked like a charm!  It permanently changed the way I thought of food.  They don't make it anymore unfortunately, but I've tried quite of few other diet meds without success.  Please help.  Thanks.

The diet I use with my patients in similar situations is the following. I call it the 4 F diet
The 4 F's:
Fish
Fowl (chicken, turkey..etc....the lean cuts)
Fresh veggies
Fresh fruit

The only oils to use are olive oil, avacodo oils, flax oil and coconut oil.

Take fish oil daily in an amount that equals 2900 mg EPA.

200mg of grape seed extract daily.

Eat only this for 30 days then you can start adding other food.
