QuestionI am 17 and highly overweight since about the 3rd grade. I have tried Weight Watchers with my Mom and the South Beach diet, but they don't work for me. I am incredibly busy. ( Junior year is the most stressful at my college prep school). I live 30 minutes from school and have trouble sleeping; so needless to say, in the mornings, there's a lot of rushing. I can eat healthy when I have time. But mornings are the biggest problem because if there's no time, I can't bring anything to school with me to eat. This, in turn, forces me to buy food at school, which isn't candy, but it's still not good for me at all. Is there anything you can recommend? I also have Exercise Indused Athsma and a torn ligement in my left ankle(after getting run over by a horse.) So excersise is a hard thing for me to do. I need to start loosing weight, not just because of my heart and such but also because Breast Cancer and diabetes are really really common in my family and I'm at a really high risk. What do you suggest?
Thanks so much for your time!

AnswerHi Gina,
There is no excuse for what almost all schools call food, and you have a lot of challanges, but quit thinking of them as road blocks you can't get around. Make up a salad the night before, pack it in an insulated bag in the morning and go. There is an unlimited way to exercise - start by just punch air, left side, right side, get going to breathe hard. Find some fun stuff to do - it is also called PLAY. Focus on what you can do, and expand on that.
