Questioni found a web site that was approved by doctors that contained a 7 day diet. you eat mainly a fat burning soup for 7 days. you can't have bread, alchohol, pop or fried food which i can understand because it is a diet. it says you can lose 10-17 pounds in just a week. Is this unsafe. or if it does actually work will i gain all the weight back as soon as i go off the diet? i am only 14 will this diet have a negitive effect on my mental or physical health?
AnswerYour body can't physically burn 10-17 pounds of fat in a week by just eating food. You will lose up to 5 or more pounds of water weight and maybe some fat from not eating enough calories. Water weight is lost due to the breakdown of fats and the lack of eating foods that are salty. Once you start eating your regular foods again, you will regain the water weight. Accept that losing weight is not quick and should be done over a period of months. Weight lost slowly will stay off easier.
