QuestionI am a 38 year old woman, 5'3" tall& weight about 135 lbs of which 15 lbs. or so has creeeped on over the past year or so. I am modifying my diet/caloric intake, and slowly adding more exercise into my life, and am wonderering if Co Enzyme Q-10 would be benefical towards boosting my energy level a bit, toning muscles, overall assist with my body's metabolism/calorie burning abillity, and/or anything else related to vibrancy, youthfulness, and getting into shape.
Thanks in advance,
Kim
AnswerNo supplement is going to tone muscle or burn calories!! The ONLY way to tone muscle and to get your metabolism moving is regular exercise. To feel better and stay fit and healthy you have to fit regular exercise and a healthy diet into your lifestyle. You need to change ALL aspects of your lifestyle, including diet, exercise, stress, smoking (if pertinent), alcohol (if pertinent), etc... There is no magic pill or supplement that is going to do all that for you.
Many of these supplements that are out today make all kinds of claims with no scientific evidence to back them up. My recommendation is not to rely on any supplement. Don't waste your money. Instead spend your time, money and energy on making lifestyle changes that you KNOW will make a difference and will make a difference for LIFE! They ALL go hand-in-hand. Eating right will make you feel better and give you more energy to be more physically active. The more physically active you are the better you will feel and look and they more motivated you will be to take good care of yourself!
