QuestionHello MR.Shields
I'm a 16 year old girl and I'm fairly thin. I'm around 5'9 and 125 pounds. The thing that I would like to change about my body are my arms. I have muscular arms(I think so anyway) And I would like to tone them down, to make them look more feminin. Do I lower my protien intake? is that safe? How much protien IS good to eat in a day? Could I lower that? Also do you have any other ideas I could use to just lower the muscle mass on my arms?
thank you!
AnswerHello Linda,
That's a tricky question, especially because you're only 16 and not being able to see you in person. With that said there are some nutritional changes you could make to help lose muscle, though I can't say I'm a fan of doing so. Simply, because muscle is the site on the body where fat is burned, so if you lose muscle you slow your metabolism.
I would suggest at the least asking the advice of another expert on here such as a registered dietician (RD), or perhaps meeting with your doctor or an RD at home.
Sorry I couldn't be more help to you.
Best of luck.
