QuestionI am an active triathlete who has gained weight due to injuries over the past 2 years. I'm trying to put together meal plans which will satisfy my hunger as well as provide enough fuel for training. My main concern is that I like a limited number of food items. How can I go about making sound nutritional decisions based on the items I enjoy eating. Most plans I've seen contain many items which I do not like and would not eat on a regular basis.
AnswerHello Tom!
Thank you for your nutrition question. The newly revised Food Pyramid website entitled http://www.mypyramid.gov allows you to create a menu plan tailored to your needs. When you get to the site you just have to enter your information such as age and weight and it will help you create a menu plan specific to your own personal taste and nutritional needs. Hope this helps.
