QuestionHi,
I am on weight watchers and exercising. I am losing weight very slowly. I have heard about Cortisill and that it is supposed to control appetite and food cravings plus fat production and stress. What do you know about it? I know it would not be a "magic" pill and I would certainly continue the W/W and exercising. Can it do me any harm if I take it according to directions (1 at breakfast and 1 at lunch)? Does research say that it does what it claims to do? Anything else you can tell me about it? Thanks.
AnswerHello Donna!
Thank you for your nutrition question. As you will learn in Weight Watchers, weight loss is really about "lifestyle changes." Cortisol pills do nothing to help with weight loss. To get rid of stored fat you have to exercise the extra fuel and eat right. If you purchased this product (note the ads have changed because the FDA came after the company for false promises) it would come as part of a "total package" that would include guidelines for exercise and healthy eating--the strategies that result in loss of stored fat. There's a great web site that is worth checking out for this and other quack products: www.quackwatch.com
Hope this helps.
