AnswerHi Andrew,
Your current body mass index (BMI) based on your weight and height is 19.8. This is within what is considered to be the healthy range (18.5-25). However, combined with the other symptoms you have described, I would strongly recommend that you get a complete physical, as there may indeed be an underlying physical cause for your symptoms.
Depending on what your physical exam shows, there may be something that can be treated that could help your body to start gaining some weight. Normally what I would suggest to people who are trying to gain weight is to choose lots of nutritious but higher-calorie foods, like nuts/seeds/nut butters, avocados, dried fruits, cheese and full-fat dairy products. You should still try and eat a balanced diet that contains whole grains and fruits and vegetables as well. But first I think it's important for you to get checked out by your doctor - depending on what he/she finds, this dietary advice may or may not be appropriate for your particular situation.
Hope that helps!
