QuestionMy list of food allergies and sensitivities has grown to the degree that I don't know how to formulate a nutritious diet. Can you make suggestions on how I can build a safe and nutritious diet? So far, I have reacted consistently to the following:
Tree Nuts
Oranges
Lemons
Egg plant
Oatmeal
Raisins (but not grapes, so far)
Apricots
Cherries
Peaches
Nectarines
Apples
Bananas
Strawberries
Pears
Plums
Grapefruit
Milk (lactose free is okay)
Yogurt
Some Soy milk
Raw Carrots
Raw Celery
AnswerHello Cherelyn!
Thank you for your nutrition question. Making a list of foods which you are sensitive is a great idea. I would recommend visiting www.mypyramid.gov where you can create a meal plan that only includes foods which you have not sensitivity to. I have also put together a sample menu for you to follow.
Breakfast
1/2 cup Fiber One Cereal topped with blueberries
lactose free milk
1 8oz. glass grape juice
Snack- small handful of baked pretzels
Lunch- grilled chicken(3oz) on bed of romaine lettuce
with pineapple chunks topped with red onions
snack- 1 cup air popped popcorn lite butter
Dinner- 1 cup of tomato basil soup, 1/2 tunafish sandwich, small garden salad
1/2 slice of garlic bread, cup of tea.
Let me know if this works.
