Also, what vits & amount is right for me? thank you
AnswerHello Ruthel!
Thank you for your nutrition question. It is amazing what you can do with a fridge full of fresh fruit and a blender. The difference between blender recipes and juicing is the added advantage of soft fibers. This is wonderful for cleaning and maintaining a healthy colon because of the health benefits of fiber.
I do recommend a few different books to help you learn about a healthier lifestyle. The Power Juices and Super Drinks by Meyerwitz is an excellent choice. I would also recommend my book "Ask the Nutritionists:Answers to your Nutrition questions" It is an excellent resource to help you eat healthier. It also contains recipes and menu plans to get you going in the right direction. It is available at www.authorhouse.com or any bookstore.
The best types of nuts would be almonds and walnuts because of their ability to regulate healthy levels of cholesterol as well as blood sugar.
You should be drinking 64 ounces of water daily which is equal to 8 glasses (8oz each). Water helps your body transport different vitamins where they are needed.
As for vitamins I don't really recommend multivitamins because many contain artificial ingredients. I do however, recommend a product called Juice Plus which contains the nutrients from different fruits and vegetables. The website to check it out at is www.juiceblend.com
