QuestionHi susan
There are certain things about diet's connection to exercise that I want to know.
1. How important is drinking water during, after and before the exercise session? If I exercise for say one hr daily, how much water my body needs? Can exercising cause dehydration?
2.I sometimes feel energyless while exercising. Is it really essential that I take enzyme rich foods so that I feel energetic? Is it true that certain foods make you really energetic?
3.I am exercising with a goal of losing weight but my diet is a normal one junk food and the typical Indian spicy food. Will that neutralise the exercise's effect? What do you say?
4.What would your general recommendations for an idead diet along with an exercise program would be?
Thanks
AnswerPlain water is VITAL, almost everything else has so much diuretics (coffee, sodas, tea, many juices) that they pull water, not add. The #1 enemy to sticking to exercise is not boredom, but dehydration, as in chronic - it makes moving feel like it is a bad thing to do.
You need 1 oz for every 2 pounds of you, per day, for sitting still. Add more for moving, way more for moving in the sun.
Real food lets you feel good. Flavored packing material leaves you feel lousy and chronically hungry.
Do something to get you breathe hard for 30 minutes a day, resistance training once a week.
