QuestionThank You so much for your reply. "They" are the woman working at the bridal boutique. I am worried because the dress is being taken to MI so that I do not have to take it on the plane with me from North Carolina. We are going to take it and have it steamed and cleaned and it takes two weeks. (before the wedding) I was told that it will take 6 weeks for an alteration to come back from the bridal shop once I get it altered. I was wondering how long it took normal shops at strip malls and commercial malls to see how short of time the could do it. I am going up a week before the wedding only so that doesn't allow a lot of time. So you can see what I mean by being nervous to lose any weight. The dress fits perfect with the under garments that I purchased and they can be adjusted. If I try the dress on without them, it's too big.I just want to keep my routine up. Thanks so much for your help.

Question -
I am on the right track, losing about a pound a week, for the past three weeks now. I just tried on and got fitted for my wedding dress yesterday. It fit perfect, and they said not to gain it or lose it. I am afraid because I have three months and love the way I feel eating healthy and exercising. More importantly, We are going to another state for our wedding and we haven't seen family for a year. We also will be going on a honey moon so I want to tone everything and have been doing cardio 4 days a week and weight lifting 4 as well. I am 155, and 5'9 I used to be 195. It took 1.5 years to get that off and I was looking for another 12-15 lbs. I need to tone my butt/abs and thighs. I have a strapless dress so I am working on my arms as well. What should I do so that I can fit in my dress, but then still look good for the summer, and vacation?

Dear Jen, Congratulations on your wedding. You say "they said" not to gain or lose any more, who are they?. You can always get a last minute alteration. Twelve to fifteen pounds might be two dress sizes, so go for three pounds per month for total of 9-10 pounds. You will have to pay for the alteration, but if that's what you want-you are the bride. Just make sure you have the type of dress that can be altered that much.
I say continue on your exercise and healthy eating and get a last minute alteration. Three months is a long time not to change anything and I think you will feel better about yourself if you continue on your body shaping. Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
AnswerOK I see. Well you will have to keep the weight up to keep the dress fitting. If you try to tone too much, you will lose inches. Muscle is smaller pound per pound than fat is. You can walk daily for 30 minutes and maintain your weight with calories upwards of 1800-2000 per day. Still not an easy task. You can lift 5 pound weights for your upper body to help tone the arms. They are light so they shouldn't cause a weight loss. Again, congrats and have a great time. Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
