AnswerHi Ramya,
First of all, I would like to mention that your husband is within his ideal body weight range, according to his Body Mass Index (BMI). A BMI between 18.5 and 25 is considered healthy; your husband's BMI is 19.1. If his weight has always been around 130, he is probably just one of those people who is naturally very lean! If he has had a recent weight loss, this is more of a cause for concern. Whether or not he has lost weight, he should have a checkup at the doctor's to investigate his fatigue and headaches (there could be many medical causes for both of these symptoms).
To promote weight gain, increasing his consumption of foods high in protein and calories would be helpful. The eggs you are giving him are a good choice. Other good foods include nuts, seeds, nut butters, legumes (e.g. black beans, chickpeas, lentils, tofu), meat, poultry, fish, cheese, full-fat milk products (e.g homogenized milk)avocados and dried fruits. Try to include at least one of these foods at each meal and snack. A meal supplement or nutritional shake like Carnation Instant Breakfast, Boost, or Ensure is another way to increase his calorie intake.
Hope that helps!
