Questionseems like all of my stomach, digestion problems although nothing very serious have went away now that i have eliminated eating vegetables. so now when i dont eat any vegatbles my body seems to function flawlessly. the rest of diet consists of chicken and rice and oats and skim milk powder being the main part of it.
now i thought everyone was telling everyone that they should be eating more vegtables? as they claimed they were super good for you?
comments? and have you seen this pattern of eating vegatbles in others similar to my complaints?
thanking you in advance.
AnswerHello Jii!
Thank you for your nutrition question. Your problem is a very common because some vegetables have a tendency to cause some digestive problems. The reason is that there is a type of plant sugar, called raffinose, that is eaten by bacteria in your intestines. That bacteria then gives digestive problems. The veggies that tend to do this are:
Asparagus
Brussells sprouts
Broccoli
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Eggplant
Radish
These veggies are quite healthy for you, and have both wonderful nutrients and a good amount of fiber. However they can give us some digestive problems. Since you are not getting vegetables into your diet you should think about taking a supplement called Juice Plus. It contains the nutrients from fresh vegetables and fruits. The website to check it out is www.juiceblend.com
