QuestionI'm 20 yrs old I have a 9 month old daughter and im about 100 lbs 5'3 all of my cloths are too big and i have to find a size 0 or shop in the kids section. I am in desperate need to gain weight I want to be at least 120 lbs but i dont know how because im never hungry or I'm so busy that i forget to eat is there anything that I should do or keep in mind ive tried protein shakes, high calories, and exercise but none of it seems to work. Oh and i also have Fibromyalgia and I've heard that it makes you go up and down in weight but i just need to do something about my weight can you help?
Answer Since you've already tried everything, I'd be talking to a doctor for a thyroid panel, set to 'sensitive' (you may have to insist on this).
In the meantime, try eating frequently throughout the day, adding things like peanut butter, more whole grains, nuts and legumes - soy milkshakes (ie: a cup of soy milk, a banana and 5 ice cubes. Add a spoon of sugar or honey, a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg and blend well...) several times a day.
The thyroid panel and more medical intervention would be the first thing to do though.
