QuestionI am confused! Everywhere I turn something is telling me different. If 3500 calories = 1 pound of fat, then what is the point of all the other measurements, and why should we be monitering things like trans fat, saturated fat, carbs, etc., etc. Wouldn't the fat content be included in the calories? Please help me answer these questions. Thanks
AnswerSo is most every one else. It is a big industry.
We have been doing all that jazz for decades, people just get fatter and more and more frustrated. Folks go on a diet, lose weight, get high, exhilarated. The just lost mostly water, not fat, but they try harder at eating less and working out more. Your Inner Manager has no idea that there is plenty of food around, just that less is coming in. It puts your metabolism into Famine Mode, you eat less, work out more and gain a pound or two. Most Registered Dieticians will tell you didn't measure right, and are probably eating too many carrot sticks. Baloney.
No Body is too fat from too many carrot sticks, but from not eating enough quality food. Empty food keeps you hungry, eating and gaining. If you focus on quality, quantity takes care of itself. Fresh produce, whole grains, maybe a little meat once a day. Raw, not roasted nuts. NO refined sugar. Lots of plain water. More at http://www.premiumfuel.com
