QuestionWould i lose weight faster by exercising twice a day? Hello i would like to know if i would lose weight faster by exercising 2 times a day? My routine is: 35 mins of stationary bikeriding in the mornings and 35 mins of walking in the late-afernoon (6 days per week, from monday to saturdays) I also follow a sensible low-calorie diet. I also take 0.075 mg. of levothyroxine for my slow thyroid (hypothyroidism)

AnswerTwice a day is fine if you can reasonably fit it in your day and you are not forcing yourself to do it. It doesn't mean you will lose weight faster though! Your goal should be no more than 2 pounds per week for a healthy weight loss! Keep in mind that whatever means you use to lose weight is something you need to keep doing for a lifetime to keep the weight off. So you are better with moderate exercise that you enjoy doing and will continue doing even after losing weight. I would just say to make sure you are challenging yourself enough during your exercise! If you are going to add anything you may want to add light weight training 2-3 times per week. Make sure you follow not only a lower calorie diet (and make sure it is not TOO low!) but make sure your diet is healthy, well-balanced and includes ALL of the food groups each day.
