Question I have been told that I eat too many complex carbohydrates (ie: fruits and vegetables) in order to lose the weight that I hope to. I love apples, berries, cantaloupe, melons, oranges, pears, etc... is it true that these will slow down the process of losing weight? Also, if I am trying to lose weight is this a bad breakfast to choose: 1/2c. Egg Beaters with A Laughing Cow Wedge and a medium apple?
AnswerBreakfast looks pretty good. A lot of misconceptions. Weight Loss is very simple= calories in (food) vs. calories out (digestion & exercise). What you want to do is this: take your plate where you are going to put your food, throw it out! No...just kidding. Look at your plate you should have a starchy carb (rice, pasta, bread, cereal) a fibrous carb (fruit or veggies) and a lean protein(egg whites, chicken fish). These should all be in equal amounts and you should eat till you are not hungry, not till your full.
That is the simplest, fastest and most effective way.
