QuestionI use 'full cream sweetened condensed milk' a lot in porride and carrot juice. It is convenient as a single source of milk and sugar. Someone told me that this milk is not good for my health. I am there seeking a healthy substitute for the product. Artificial sweeteners have been considered but they lack the milk content. I would appreciate your suggestions for substitutes.
Thanks in advance.
AnswerHello,
It depends on the reason why this kind of milk is not good for _your_ health.
1. If you are insulin resistant it can contain too much refined carbohydrates. See the links under the answer to learn more
about it.
2. If you are lactose intolerant your better choice can be non-lactic varieties.
3. Same is true if you should avoid saturated (bad) fats, then you might want to switch to soy-based creamers.
