QuestionI think that I am, but people at work are talking behind my back saying I'm either sick or anorexic and it's making me a little upset to say the least! I'm 5'7 and weigh 126 lbs and my BMI is 20..I'm at a healthy weight, I just need someone like you to tell me that I am, so I can print this off and show everyone! Yes, I used to weigh 135 lbs, however, I switched my workout routine 2 years ago from aerobic to treadmill and I lost my belly fat, so I lost 10 lbs in two years and have been plateaued for a year now at 126 lbs. I also try to eat healthy and stay away from fast foods. Am I correct to say that my weight is fine? I have no health problems at this time either. I'm 36 years old. Thank you for your time.
AnswerYour BMI is about 20, Your RMR is 1349.Your RMR is generally 60-75% of your total daily caloric expenditure.Knowing your Daily Calorie Needs is more than knowing how many calories your body needs for its basic physiologic functions (known as your Resting Metabolic Rate).
It's also important to know how many calories your body needs to maintain certain daily activities. By combining your resting metabolic rate and your daily activity level, you will get the total number of calories your body needs during the day.You are about 1988 to 2100. Based on the information you provided you don't seem to be sick based on your weight. Could be some people feel a bit jealous of your commitment to the way you look. Shows how un-committed they are. As long as you eat right(not starve yourself) and feel good about the way you look you're ok.
