QuestionWhen cooking garlic for some recipes I recently have tried a technique where
you put the garlic cloves in water, bring to a boil, drain and repeat 2 more
times. This gets rid of any strong sharp garlic taste, leaving only a sweeter
garlic taste. However, I was wondering if it also gets rid of any of any of the
benefits of garlic?
AnswerHello Susan!
Anytime you boil a food it destroys some of the important enzymes which are body needs. I would only boil a food momentarily then remove it as quick as possible. Garlic is without a doubt one of man's most useful original herbal medicines. The first written record of Garlic is roughly 5,000 years old. The list of ailments it has effectively been used to treat is so extensive space does not permit a complete listing. It bears an outstanding reputation in the treatment of circulatory problems, weak digestion, and warding off respiratory problems.
