Question
Hello and thanx a lot for your wonderful answer. I have another little question: Do you think i should limit the amount of cooking spray i use in my weight loss meals?
Well to be sure: Today i started to use a lot less cooking spray on my meals and the food felt a lot lighter as opposed when the food has a lot of cooking spray in it
Thanks and have a nice day :-)

-----Question-----
HELLO HOW ARE YOU? I have a simple question about cooking-srays. I am on a weight-loss diet and i use Pam, Wesson or any other brand of Cooking Sprays for my weight-loss diet, to stir-fry the vegetables, to spread it on my boiled rice, potatoes, etc. And i would like to know if cooking sprays are really calorie-free as the nutrition labels claim?
Please answer me, because i have noticed that a lot of foods out there contain hidden calories, even if their nutrition lables says that they have zero calories, or calorie-free.
Thanks and have a nice day

Hello Juan!
Thank you for your nutrition question. By manipulating the serving-size portion of the label, popular cooking sprays, made of 100% fat, can boast they are fat-free and calorie-free. That's because the FDA states that any product with less than 0.5 grams of fat per serving can claim to be fat-free. So Pam spray says a "serving" of the product equals just 0.266 grams --- or a spray of one-third of a second. Most of us coat the entire pan, with no way of knowing how many calories we're really adding. ConAgra Foods, the maker of Pam, says the product is formulated so that food absorbs far less fat than when cooking with oil or butter.

AnswerIt is a good idea to limit how much cooking spray you use since they do contain calories. Try using the cooking sprays made from Olive oil for a healthier choice. You can also use non stick cooking pans which do not require any oil. Hope this helps!
