QuestionHi there, I am a 34 yr old female with a long list of problems. From Fibromyalgia (my Dr says) and the HUGE list of what it affects and causes to your body, recurrent (almost monthly) bladder infections, to depression, anxiety, social phobia, nausea, dizziness, etc. So, after being discouraged at Dr.s and the meds they give (I am on Zoloft and Ativan and am finishing my millionth dose of antibiotics for another bladder infection), I have done some research on Fibromyalgia and the YEAST connection came up many times. So, I did a bit of reserach on the anti yeast/anti sugar diet and started it today. Needless to say I am miserable, missing out on my chocolate, pop, etc.
But I HAVE to do SOMETHING to try and stop all of these problems and my recurrent bladder infections. Now, my question to you is, if I am getting no yeast or sugar in my body, won't that make me pass out or something? You have to have some sugar, don't you? Or does that come in the form of veggies in some way? I'm just a little scared I'll pass out from no sugar in my blood. If I feel like I will pass out, what do you suggest I eat? Thanks so much.
AnswerHi Healther,
There is no commparison of refined sugar with the stuff in fresh produce. Raw is the only way to eat fruit, and whenever you want - one exception: cranberry juice. It is cooked fruit, but there is something in it that helps with bladder infections that makes it worth drinking a cup or less a day.
The cravings go as your body catches on to how much better you feel eating real food - for hours, days instead of 12 minutes.
The best cure for depression is a body in motion. Some call it excerise, I prefer the term "Play". (Watch a group of small children or large dogs if you can't recall natural, enjoyable physical activity.) (It went away when Recess turned into Gym Class.)
Get off the meds very carefully, they can get nasty.
Your poor body has been poluted, give it a month to clean itself out. No fasting, no chemicals, just real food instead of flavored packing material.
