QuestionRafael
I am 48.
According to the charts,at 5'8" 230 pounds I am grossly obese.
However,in my twenties and thirties I used to lift weights and got fairly muscular.I went from 130 to 160 in about five years. Then I got married,kids,yadd,yadda....
I still work out and look not bad and have all the muscle I gained back then if not more.
I would like to find a 'goal' weight to shoot for.
Most of the fat is on my chest and belly.
I did get my Rx to do a fat caliper test but I have very loose elastic skin so he didnt get a good reading.
Most of my friends are not built like me so I cant judge by their weight.
I want to be realistic and not try too skinny.
I know its a tough question not being able to see me but what do you think?
AnswerHey Barry
Don't go by those charts, they are outdated and don't take body composition in to consideration.
It's tough to tell you a specific weight for your height and age without know what your goal is.
Lets start here:
if you could design they way you want to look what would it be,specifically:
Chest size
Waist
Arms
Legs and so on?
