QuestionDear, Tanya Zilberter.
I'm a 15 year old girl, but wait.. Please don't say or think: "she's only 15, it
can't be as bad as she says it is"... I bingeeat. Well, I'm stopping from today,
but I don't know if the problem will happen again..
Anyway, my skin is already sagging. It's sick, I am only 15, but it does. I can
eat huge amounts of sugar all in one, a typical example is: chocolate (200g) and
3-4 medium sized bars, and some cake. Make that 2-4 slices.
My question is, will anything bad at ALL happen to the collagen already after
eating so much of sugar in one day? Is the collagen "attacked" in any way, and
will everything be back to "normal" if I "normally" the next days after?
I really care about my skin.. I love skin, but I love chocolate so much as
well.. I daily eat fruit and veg and try to get in all the needed vitamins (e.g.
oranges, carrots and sunflower seeds for C, A and E vitamins), but all I've seen
is that my skin's become worse..
Please help
AnswerKylie,
Nothing irreversibly bad can happen in one day of bingeing. However, day after day, it can. The sagging skin can be only one of the consequences, the other being insulin sensitivity problem, acne, obesity, eating disorders, etc. I could suggest these solutions:
1. See your doctor or psychologist to discuss your bingeing problem.
2. To control your cravings, try a low carb diet for only one week and see it you can stand it. Chance is big that your craving subsides as it does for the majority of our dieters: visit http://bantadiet.com
3. Try sugar-free chocolates and/or low carb chocolate recipes, for example:
