QuestionHi Mr. Kapadia,
I from Pakistan. I weigh 114 KG and have hypothroidism and gout. recent test show that I have high cholestrol and triglyceride levels. My doctor has advised me to reduce 30KG, quit smoking and change my diet. Currently, I am eating oil free, fat free meals, walking for 30 minutes everyday, not smoking. Since, I have hypothroidism, its hard to loose weight, can you give me a few pointers. Thank you.
AnswerHello Waheed,
With a thyroid problem most people use thyroxin medication. If you use this or similar make sure you take it before bed as it will lose it's effect if taken near to any meals.
Your gout and cholesterol show that it is the balance of your meals that needs to be looked at.
The most effective way to get straight back on track is via a nuritional shake. This will alleviate the gout problems of trying to digest certain foods.
