QuestionHi, I'd like to know when is the best time to eat yogurt in order to reap max benefits from live cultures in yogurt. By "best time" I mean in relation to my meal times i.e. before or after a meal, or on an empty stomach..etc.

I am not aware of any data on this matter. Since live cultures are beneficial over an extended period of time I doubt that there is much difference. However, I would assume that just before a meal would be better, if anything. This is because if there is any immediate benefit it would be on the absorption of nutrients that follow activation of your digestive system and this would be initiated by eating the yogurt.
There is some data suggesting that the calcium in the yogurt is more beneficial shortly before bedtime, regarding absorption for use in bone metabolism. But this is a different benefit than that of the live cultures.
