QuestionI was wondering if you could recommend a healthy appetite suppressant?
I know what I'm supposed to be doing - taking in less calories than I am utilizing - to lose weight. I am just having problems with being hungry, a lot, when I stick to my weight watcher plan. I really want to succeed but don't want my hunger to destroy my progress with healthy food choices.
AnswerI don't really recommend appetite suppressant drugs. You can use a couple of natural approaches.
First, increase the amount of fiber in your diet by eating whole grain sources of carbohydrates and plenty of fruits and vegetables. You can also consider using fiber shakes as between meal snacks. This will help you feel full without high calories.
Second, get plenty of omega-3s into your diet with a high quality fish oil supplement (make sure it is 'molecularly distilled' to remove heavy metal and PCB contaminants), eat more fish and flaxseed containing foods. This will take about 1 month but can actually change your brain chemistry to help keep hunger under control.
Hope this helps.
