QuestionHelp! I've always had a weight issue, but nothing like now. I need to lose 90 lbs. I'm 43 and my husband hates me. He has been cruel about my weight, but regardless, I hate myself for how I look and how bad I feel. It's not my thyroid or anything but hating exercise and being restricted. I have little time to plan healthy meals. I was just started on Singulair as I was found to have asthma and have probably had this all my life. It dried me out so much, I rarely take it now. My entire life has been successful, except for my weight. I am a failure and am totally embarrassed about this. I'm an RN so go figure! I am against surgery as I've met far too many patients who regret that choice. Whenever I try to lose, my weight doesn't budge! I am telling you the truth. No one seems to be able to help me understand this. How long do you have to try before your weight responds? I was probably 30-35 lbs overweight until 13 years ago when my second son was born. Now I feel I've given up. Plus, when my husband treats me like crap, it makes me want to try less. Is there any hope? Thanks for your help.
AnswerHi Lisa,
Pause, inhale, hold, exhale. There, your metabolism just went up a point. Hate lowers it, so lighten up mentally and your body can start to lighten also.
No wonder you a suffocating.
Stop the cycle of feeling like crap and being treated like crap. Change YOUR mind, it will change your habits, actions, and it will change the action of those around you.

When you eat what you need, you don't overeat. When you eat empty food, you keep on eating. Calorie counting is counter productive. Focus on the quality of what you eat and the quantity takes care of itself. Get the hang of it and it gets easier, and you get more energy. Exercise is breathing hard for a total of 30 minutes a day - sneak in a staircase instead of an elevator, walk a block, dance for 3 minutes - it ALL adds up in your favor. The more you move effectively in your body, the more you get along with it.
It isn't you, have you noticed a brazilian other people have a weight problem and it has just been getting worse, on the lousy line about just eat less and move more. Pure rot, eatting too little lowers your metabolism.
