eating all day..

Question
Hello, and thanks for the site. I am 26, male, 5'7, about 150 pounds. My question is, is it bad to eat all day long? I work in a catering department and I find myself always hungry. Even about a half hour after lunch, I am ready to eat again. I snack all day as well, and even eat late at night. However, I do not seem to gain any weight. Are there certain types of metabolisms that can eat all day and not gain weiight, or am I destined to become obese? Thank you.

Answer
First question, "yes", there are some people (generally males) who can seemingly eat all they want of whatever they want and never have a weight problem.
This doesn't mean they won't die from heart disease or other complications due to high cholesterol and many more potential conditions.
For this reason, try to reach for something relatively harmless to snack on.
Whole grains, fruits, vegetables/legumes, you know the drill.
If that's not possible, then at least limit the amounts. I've weaned people off massive chunks of cheese by putting out a portion (about the size of two dice) and cutting THAT up into little pieces.  Rather than two bites, I can get EIGHT bites out of that.  Same thing with most other foods.

Also keep up your activity levels which are obviously high.  The more muscle you have, the higher the metabolism.  Doing something/anything with cardio for 10-15 minutes a day - even if it's jumping rope or jumping jacks - doesn't matter as long as the heart is pounding.
