QuestionHello George,
I keep reading that studies have shown that increasing water intake will decrease fat deposits. In fact, you answered Adam in 2005 by saying that "Studies have shown that a decrease in water intake will cause fat deposits to increase, while an increase in water intake can actually reduce fat deposits." I would like to confirm this for myself by reading the studies, but I have been unable to identify them. Can you give me some references or additional details about them?
I would be grateful for any help you can give me with this.
Thank you!
Laurie
AnswerHi Laurie!
Yes, I remember finding that information at the following web page http://www.som.tulane.edu/cancer/fflbulletin0998.html
It is a health bulletin posted by the Tulane Cancer Institute in September of 1998.
I would also recommend that you check out my book "Ask the Nutritionists: Answers to Your Nutrition Questions." It contains further references to the importance of water in the diet. Make sure to read my interesting answer about drinking "bottled water." You can purchase it at www.authorhouse.com, online, or at your favorite bookstore.
