QuestionHello,
I have a hard time slimming down, I have alot of muscle and being the
healthy farm girl that I am, I'm also able to gain weight easily. I am
wondering how can I get as slim as possible, get rid of fat. I don't want to be
skinny or something not possible, I just want to know how to slim down to
the best possible weight healthfully? Thanks
AnswerHi Sara,
Sounds like you have a mesomorph body type, which means you have a good amount of muscle mass, but can gain weight quickly, too (or at least it appears that you gain weight quickly---sometimes this is misleading because you have alot of muscle!)
You are asking to be as slim as possible, and although this is probably just confusion with semantics, I think what you are asking is to be "as lean as possible", since you said "get rid of fat". Skinny people usually don't have a whole lot of muscle mass, so you were right in knowing that you would never be like that. But that doesn't mean you have to be chunky/overweight either---in fact, your body type will respond wonderfully to a regimen of resistance exercise (weights), cardio and healthy fitness diet. The details of this go beyond the scope of me writing this letter, as I would be here all day educating you on all the details, but I have helped you focus on what you need to be doing, and I will give you a site that you can refer all your questions to. www.oxygenmag.com will give you all you need to know, as it is a women's fitness magazine. I read it all the time, and I guarantee you that you will like the body types you find in there. You will become one of those body types if you begin a program like i have suggested. All the info to start this will be on this site.
Good luck Sara!
