Questionhi-i would like to know how long should i spend on a threadmill .
How often do professional althletes excerise as i would like to compare my excersise schedule to them as i have no knowledge of how i am doing.
i spend 70min on a threadmill and do some light weight lifting .Is it better to complete 70 min in few or more goes? What is best to get the most out of this routine or how could it be varied as i excerise 10 of 14 days sometimes. thanks
AnswerDear Jack, I am not a professional athlete, so I really don't know what they do for exercise. I'm sure it depends on the athlete and what sport they play. Contact an athlete that plays the same sport you are interested in or contact a trainer at a gym. Seventy minutes on a treadmill is a lot of exercise and is very good for your cardiovascular health. The weight lifting is important too, keep it up especially if you are seeing results and have the time and motivation to do it. When exercising as you are doing, make sure you are eating a healthy diet containing fruits, vegetables, lean meat, chicken, fish, pork, egg whites, low fat dairy, whole grain breads, and healthy fats like those in salad oils and nuts. The protein foods are especially important to rebuild your muscles stronger and leaner. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
