abdominal muscle and man boobs

Question
hello i am 17 yrs.  i am 5'11 and 175. i am actually pretty athletic.  i can run a mile in 6 min and 20 seconds and i play varsity soccer and golf.  but my body seem like it...  i love eaing and i eat a lot.  i recently cut down on food and avoid chips, cookies etc.  no more deserts.  but i do eat a lot once i have my meal...  recently, for about two weeks, i would do crunches 2 times a day, everday. obviously it would hurt.  two weeks felt like a long time and i saw no results....  so i quit...
i would like to start working out my abs now...  is there something that could get me motivated to keep working out my abs for months?  what can i do?  i also have a SLIGHT man boobs.  not so bad since i do a lot of runninng.   whats a way for me to get rid of them?  i have no access to gym.  are there activities that i can do at home to achieve all this?  thank you so much in advance.

Answer
Dear Lee, When working your abs, try just 50 crunches once a day. It will only take you a few minutes to do 50 crunches and you might stick to the program. If you have no access to a gym, you can still purchase a weight set for under 100 dollars. Lifting weights will increase your metabolism, firm muscles, and make you appear thinner. If you can't lift weights, then try exercises that utilize your own weight. Leg lifts, push-ups, chin ups, crunches are exercises that will build muscle without the use of weights. Try this link for more information on exercise: www.muscleandfitness.com . Motivation has to come from within. If you want it bad enough, you will do it. Write down your goals and the steps you will need to perform to reach those goals. Everyday when you wake up ask yourself what will you be doing today to reach that goal-then do it! As your weight drops, your man boobs should go away, if they don't you should see a doctor for an exam. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
