QuestionI just finished "bingeing"... and feel extremely sick. It was around 1600 calories, and has been happening (on that scale of caloric intake) for about 3 weeks straight now, always ALWAYS followed by "promises" to be "good" tomorrow (and restrict), restricting for the first part of the day, feeling exhausted by night and overeating again. I honestly want to become an "Intuitive Eater," and that is my ultimate goal for myself... but for some reason, I just cannot bring myself to start fresh. I was planning on "starting" following my dietary exchanges as planned by my nutritionist starting tomorrow (since today I restricted all morning and afternoon due to a binge last night) but then I just binged now, and am horrified that the cycle will endure.
My main concern is my weight. I have gone from 110 pounds in July to a whopping 116 right now... and that was on a relatively empty stomach. I have cut back on my excessive exercise (I was doing over 2 hours a day) since my nutritionist recommended it, and now the weight is flying upwards out of control. Each pound I gain and each inch I grow is discouraging, but seems to make the cycle worse.
My main question is, should I restrict what I eat to "make up" for tonight and the past 6 pounds, or should I eat normally tomorrow, face the weight gain of about 2 pounds from this past week, and continue eating regularly? I'm only 5'2", and when I weigh in at 118, I am scared I am unhealthy at this weight! Like at risk for disease or something, since that is INCREDIBLY high. Even my nutritionist said I should aim for 105-110, but "weight's not the important thing" right now...Thanks, any help would be amazing.
