Cant stop eating day!

Question
Hi!
Two questions please?
Have you ever come across this?
I eat healthy all week long, three good meals,no junk food, fat etc. Also exercise every day.
Come Saturday I cant stop eating-I am ravenous!
Usually I give in-I figure I deserve it.
Also Dan,I have tried every supplement to help boost my slow metabolism but nothing works.
Someone said to try 'Relora' that is supposed to block the cortisol that makes belly fat.Any thoughts?

Answer
Hi Bud,

Yes, I have seen this, many times. In fact it is very common. One mistake commonly made by many is avoiding fat, and not getting enough fiber. Fat is a very important part of your diet and will offer you a feeling of fullness. The same applies to fiber.

Try to eat god fat foods such as salmon, walnuts, almonds, milled flax seeds, olive oil, hemp oil, coconut oil, and avocados. Eating plenty of vegetables and some fruits will provide the fiber. You should be getting at least 35 grams of fiber every day. Oatmeal, millet, quinoa, 100% whole wheat, rye, pumpernickel, and brown rice are good carbs and also offer fiber.

Also increase your meal periods. Eat smaller main meals and add a decent sized snack between each. This is where to have an avocado, or a handful of walnuts and a piece of fruit. Maybe a slice of rye bread with lettuce, sprouts, and a little tuna for a snack. The key is to keep your metabolism going, avoid starving yourself for any period of time.

Include a dessert a couple of times each week as well. Try to stay occupied on the weekends- boredom often leads to eating.

If you are very stressed a product such as relora may help. There are also other products that are similar. The best way to avoid belly fat (a sign of insulin resistance from eating too many sugary/simple carb foods) is too reduce eating simple carbs and start exercising regularly.

Thank you,
Dan Haley, CNC
