QuestionHi Reverend
I'm 14 and have alot of stretch marks on my tummy, thighs and legs. I got them since I was 12. I am not fat but I am not skinny either. I weigh 63kgs. It's pretty weird how I got stretch marks on my legs. Just under my knees (on the back).
So i can't wear shorts or skirts at all which makes me feel really sad. I've been using Bio Oil for a year but didn't get a good result so now i'm using Palmer's Coco Butter and I don't think my stretch marks are fading away but they don't get worst though.
How do I get rid of them? Will they fade when I'm older?
thx
AnswerIt might surprise you to know that none of the those 'stretch mark' cures actually work. They convince people to keep using them and the emollients may help feel less tight, but using any lotion will do that.
So, why does it seem like it's working? Time! The marks will fade over time no matter what and some may seem to disappear completely depending on where they are and how 'deep' they are.
Now, one more thing - dedicate an entire day to watching people and noticing where other people look when they see people. You'll be surprised at how much no one notices what you do. Why? Because each and every person out there has their own worry. You wouldn't believe how many people are concerned that you're noticing their extra chin, flabby arms, big nose, small ears, terrible hair, thin lips, wide hips, short fingers, whatever it is they see the most when they look in a mirror.
So wear your skirts, keep your head high and try not to notice all those people with flaws out there. ;)
